The Guidance Department is dedicated to providing services to support our student’s academic, social, and career development. The department focuses on safety, mental health, achievement, social skills, attendance, and positive behavior by providing the following services:
Health Class- Counselors teach lessons on various topics to help students learn and use good decision making skills as well as other topics.
Classroom Guidance- including these topics: anti-bullying, career development, social- emotional learning, cyber- bullying, personal hygiene, as well as other topics as the need arises.
Advisement – takes place throughout the school year with a variety of classroom activities that focus on goal setting and academic improvement.
Individual Sessions – services provided as needed.
Small Group Counseling Sessions – provided to enhance specific developmental areas as needed.
MTSS Intervention – offered for academic and behavior success.
PBS (Positive Behavioral Supports) – School wide behavior and attendance reward program which encourages students to reach our school expectations. Rewards are given on a daily basis which include Rebel Passes, Snow Cone/Popcorn, Rebel Mart, extra breaks, and special events.
Other services include clothing closet, Snack in a Backpack Program, and school supplies are offered to our students based on need.
Bullying Presentation
