Bio

Mrs. Harper and her husband, Rob, moved from Saint Simons Island, Georgia, to Blue Ridge in 2012, when she joined the Fannin County School System as an itinerant teacher for Deaf/Hard of Hearing and Special Education students. She travels from school to school working with students grades pre-school through 12th grade. The Harpers have one daughter and one son, Anne & John, who are 3rd generation graduates of the University of Georgia. (Go, Dawgs!). Mrs. Harper is passionate about sign language and about teaching students with special needs, and she loves her new home in the mountains! In her spare time, she enjoys reading, hiking, tending the vegetable garden, traveling, teaching sign language classes, and listening to her husband play guitar with local vocalist, Shannon York.
